Who We Are

Connecting Hearts Counseling is a mental health practice based in Powder Springs, Georgia, serving individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages. We believe that healing is most powerful when it's supported from every direction — which is why we're built to care for every member of your family, all in one place.

We primarily serve clients within the state of Georgia. However, some of our clinicians are licensed in additional states and may be able to offer services via telehealth in those locations. Please check with your provider to find out which states they are licensed in and whether telehealth services are available to you.

Our Approach

We know how overwhelming it can be to manage the mental health needs of everyone in your household — coordinating appointments, juggling multiple providers, and making sure no one falls through the cracks.

Our Services

At Connecting Hearts, we believe that the most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself. For our clients ages 8 and up, we provide a warm, non-judgmental space to navigate the complexities of modern life. Whether your child is struggling with school-based anxiety, or you are a millennial professional dealing with burnout, ADHD, or life transitions, we are here to help.

Individual Therapy (ages 8+)

Relationships thrive on connection, but over time, communication breakdowns and life stressors can leave you feeling like roommates rather than partners. Our couples therapy sessions in Atlanta focus on more than just resolving arguments; we dive into the emotional patterns that drive disconnection.

Couples Therapy

We specialize in helping families navigate generational trauma, parenting challenges, and major life shifts like divorce or loss. By creating a safe space for every voice to be heard, we help your family move from a place of conflict and tension to one of mutual support, understanding, and lasting unity.

Family Therapy

There is a unique kind of healing that happens when you realize you aren't alone. Connecting Hearts offers specialized group therapy sessions—such as our 'Grief & Grace' and 'Black Moms with ADHD' groups—to provide a community of support. These groups offer a space to share your journey with others who truly 'get it.'

Connecting Hearts Counseling is proud to be home to a diverse team of fully licensed clinicians, masters-level clinicians actively working toward licensure, and interns — all committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care.

But our team is more than just a group of therapists. We are deeply committed to creating a pathway for BIPOC clinicians to thrive in the mental health field. From internship to full licensure, Connecting Hearts provides the internal supervision, mentorship, and private practice experience that emerging clinicians need to grow — in an environment that sees, supports, and invests in them.

We believe that the clinicians who show up for our clients should reflect the communities they serve. And we believe that building a more diverse, supported workforce is just as important as the therapy that happens in our sessions.
